Testimonials

Dear Dr. Kavanaugh: You should know that my knee replacement is working fine. I am pleased to report that I was able to climb
for several weeks on Mt. McKinley with my son in May of this year. We were able to go unguided to 18,200 feet. We had to turn around because of
high winds. I did not have any difficulty with my knee. Just thought I would report what is possible.

Alaska Bone & Joint is the team I chose for my knee replacement four years ago. I had a lot of concern making the decision to undergo
such a major surgery because I wasn't even 50 years old yet! Five months after my knee replacement, I was able to participate in the
Gold Nugget Triathlon (walking, not running!), and within a year I was able to lose a substantial amount of weight, because without the pain, I was
active again. I know this would not have been possible without Dr. Kavanaugh and his staff. They do the best because they ARE the best!

My name is Karla Honeywell, and I am 63 yeras old. In August of 2009 I had my hip replaced, and then in December (same year), I had a total knee replacement.
I limped around with my hip for two years and there were times I could not sit, walk, or even sleep. I now have my life back thanks to Dr. Kavanaugh! After the hip
surgery I was completelyout of that horrible pain that I was experiencing. With the help of the home health care their office lined up for me, plus a wonderful
physical therapist, I'm back working out 5-6 days a week and doing things I have not been able to do for literally years!
The total knee replacement was just as wonderful. I had heard some say they would never go through it again knowing how difficult the recovery was...I am
here to tell you different!
